Federal mandates for pipeline operators require that all subcontractors involved in pipeline maintenance, repair and replacement have documented confirmation of individual worker qualification.  Safety Advantage provides both OQSG and NCCER methods for OQ.  We also are a verified data provider to ISNetworld, the national online database of OQ validation.

Safety Advantage
is accredited and authorized by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) to administer Operator Qualification assessments toward compliance with DOT 192 & 195 Regulations.

NCCER, in cooperation with American Petroleum Institute (API), has developed the Pipeliner Training and Assessment Program (PTAP). The PTAP consists of Pipeliner Curriculum and Pipeline Skills Assessments to qualify pipeline personnel under the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) new regulation for Pipeline Operator Qualification. The Pipeline Assessments are tied directly to NCCER’s standardized Pipeline Curriculum and will determine qualification on selected covered tasks as identified by API and the industry.

NATIONAL REGISTRY

NCCER maintains the National Registry. The National Registry is a database that records the training records of all students who have received training through an NCCER Accredited Sponsor. Students are provided with transcripts, certificates and wallet cards that document their NCCER training accomplishments.

The National Registry assures portability of students training accomplishments. It also gives students more flexibility in their career path planning and insures that their training accomplishments will be recognized wherever they go.
